Capital City Symphony (“CCS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates capitalcitysymphony.org and presents concerts, subscriptions, auditions, community programs, fundraising opportunities, and related activities.

This Policy explains how CCS handles information collected through the website and information CCS receives from the external services a visitor chooses to use.
Information You Provide
The website newsletter form collects an email address and first name and may collect a last name. It uses a Cloudflare-protected signup process and Mailchimp double opt-in before a new subscription is confirmed.
Other website or linked services may collect information you submit for an inquiry, audition, registration, ticket, subscription, donation, merchandise order, or other activity. Current public destinations include a Google audition form, Atlas Performing Arts Center for tickets and subscriptions, Bloomerang Fundraising (formerly Qgiv) and a Kindful-branded destination powered by Bloomerang for donations, and Bonfire for merchandise.
CCS does not collect full payment-card numbers through the CCS website. The external transaction provider collects payment information under its own privacy notice and may return transaction, donor, purchaser, subscriber, or attendance information needed by CCS to administer the relationship.
Information Collected Automatically
The website and its providers may receive technical and usage information such as IP address, browser and device information, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location derived from an IP address, access time, and interactions with site content.
The current website uses Squarespace technology, Google Analytics 4, Cloudflare security services, Mailchimp-connected signup services, and a Bloomerang WebsiteVisit integration. Google Analytics 4 remains active as Statistics. Mailchimp Connected Sites and Bloomerang WebsiteVisit load only after a visitor accepts Marketing. Embedded or linked features may involve video, mapping, ticketing, donation, merchandise, venue, or social providers and remain independent from the Marketing choice.
How Information Is Used
CCS may use information to:
- respond to inquiries;
- administer email subscriptions and communications;
- support auditions, programs, events, tickets, subscriptions, donations, and merchandise relationships;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the website;
- maintain supporter, donor, patron, musician, and participant records;
- prevent misuse or protect CCS and its community; and
- maintain appropriate administrative, financial, security, and legal records.
Service Providers and Disclosures
CCS uses service providers for website hosting, forms, email, security, analytics, CRM or fundraising support, tickets, donations, merchandise, and embedded content. These providers handle information under their own terms and privacy notices.
Information may also be disclosed when you direct the disclosure, when reasonably needed to provide a requested service, to professional advisers or organizational support providers where appropriate, to protect rights or safety, in connection with a lawful organizational transfer, or when required by applicable law or legal process.
Email Choices
A new newsletter signup is sent to Mailchimp as pending and is completed only after email confirmation. You may unsubscribe through the link in a message. A suppression record may be retained so the unsubscribe choice can continue to be honored.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Necessary technologies and Google Analytics 4 Statistics remain active. Marketing technologies, currently Mailchimp Connected Sites and Bloomerang WebsiteVisit, remain off unless you select Accept Marketing. You can later review or change that choice through Cookie Settings. Requested external media remains available regardless of the Marketing choice. See the Cookie Policy for details.
Retention
CCS retains information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected and for appropriate program, supporter, financial, tax, security, dispute-resolution, and legal needs. The period varies by record and provider. Information may be deleted, de-identified, or aggregated when it is no longer reasonably needed.
Children and Youth
The website is intended for a general audience. CCS programs and ticket offers may include children or young people. A parent or guardian should submit or supervise personal information concerning a minor when a form or activity calls for that involvement. Questions about information concerning a child may be sent to the contact below.
Security
CCS and its providers use measures intended to protect information. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your Choices and Requests
You may ask about, update, or request deletion of information associated with you by emailing execdir@capitalcitysymphony.org. Additional rights may apply depending on your location and applicable law. CCS may request information reasonably needed to locate records, protect against unauthorized disclosure, or apply permitted retention exceptions.
Third-Party Links
External ticket, donation, form, store, media, venue, and social services have their own privacy notices and terms. Those notices apply to the independent third-party service.
Changes to This Policy
The current version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Additional notice may be provided when appropriate for a material change.
