Your Support is Essential...
The Capital City Symphony is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that relies on donations to fund our activities. The cost of putting on a concert exceeds the revenue received from our ticket sales. It is important to us to keep our ticket prices low, so that our concerts can be accessible to the entire community – but in order to do that, we need donations from you. Your contributions help offset the costs of music rental and purchases, operational costs, symphony education and outreach, concert promotion, as well as many other aspects involved in running an orchestra. Please consider making a donation of $50 or more to support our work to bring beautiful quality music to the entire Washington DC community. You can also support the Capital City Symphony by volunteering your time and talent through joining our Swing Dance and Silent Auction Benefit Committee, or our volunteer guild where you will have the opportunity to pick from a variety of ways in which to support the CCS. You can donate via PayPal, simply click the button below:
Would you like to support the Capital City Symphony beyond writing a check? You can volunteer to support the orchestra in a variety of ways.
Media/Community Relations - This involves advertising concerts/events as well as seeking new ways for the Capital City Symphony to better serve the communities in which we play.
Marketing/Fundraising - This involves selling ads for the program, sponsorships, growing and supporting the donor base, and finding new and creative ways to raise money from ongoing fundraisers to small events
Grants - This involves researching and applying for grants to support long term operations of the Capital City Symphony
Auction Committee - This committee is charged with all aspects of the planning, execution, and follow up for the annual Swing Dance and Silent Auction. This is the single biggest fundraiser that the Capital City Symphony does, and you can participate in a variety of ways. For more information about the auction click here.
