Margaret Bushko is the Executive Director of the Capital City Symphony. In addition to her work at the Capital City Symphony, she runs a freelance arts management business, Bushko Arts Management and Consulting, drawing on her decade of experience in arts administration. She has worked at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the New World Symphony in Miami, FL, and Columbia Artists Management, Inc. (CAMI) in New York City. A passionate advocate of the innovative and creative environment of festivals, Margaret served as the Managing Director of the GardenMusic Festival in Coral Gables, FL. She began her career in arts administration through internships at the nation's top orchestras, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood.
Margaret plays the harp, violin, and piano and is a freelance harpist in the D.C. area.
