Capital City Symphony concludes its 51st season with a special musical ode to the beauty of our planet and beyond.
The first part of the program includes a special format! Enjoy the heavenly music of a chamber orchestra and choir from the Atlas’s iconic lobby staircase while you sip your drinks. The sounds of Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo, inspired by the northern lights and mythical power of his homeland, will be filling the lobby for the first half of the concert.
Then, join us in the Lang for a multi-media presentation of Gustav Holst’s famous orchestral work, The Planets, featuring video projections from NASA. Don’t miss this exciting season finale!
This project is supported by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
